Conference Fees

Delegate passes are intended for named individuals attending for all or part of the conference; they cannot be split between staff. Substitutions are permissible in advance, by contacting the conference administrators. The flat fee allows you to attend as much of the conference as you wish over the two days; this fee does not include the evening conference dinner.

The fee includes food and refreshments and the conference papers.

Delegates with special needs should make this clear on booking.

In April 2009 CIWEM is holding a two-day Annual Conference at Olympia Conference Centre that will address multidisciplinary issues across all areas of the global water and environment sector.

The event includes a mix of keynote speakers, offered papers, an exhibition and many networking opportunities that will make this the key event for water and environment professionals.

There will be a conference dinner and opportunities to share experiences with colleagues and forge new relationships. CIWEM staff and trustees will be on hand to help develop and explain the Institution’s work.

We’ve had a fantastic response to the Call for Presentations and the draft conference brochure is now available here, which contains the conference programme and information about the conference dinner. Lord Smith (Chair of the Environment Agency) is already confirmed as a keynote speaker.

The concession rate applies to individuals and organisations that clearly work from limited budgets in the academic or voluntary sector. Conference Dinner (29th April)

The conference dinner is being hosted by The Larder Restaurant, a food lover's haven close to the historic Smithfield Market where Chef-owner Nick Male and his team will prepare a seasonal menu of sustainably sourced foods. Transport to and from the restuarant will be provided by an historic London Routemaster bus passing by some of London's iconic landmarks. Please note that places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
