Understanding the Opportunities of Innovation and Change
Aim
Compared with the last Price Review this one (PR14) is characterised by considerable change and uncertainty, a situation compounded by the proposed changes in the Water Bill and Governments promised guidance. The aim of this conference is to provide an overview of the current issues driving water regulation and exploring the implications for practitioners for planning and practice in relation to the current price review and future project delivery.
Objectives
To understand the practical implications of the Government’s current policy in relation to the White Paper, Water Bill but also its guidance to Ofwat
To understand the practical implications of the Ofwat’s position
To understand some of the practical challenges that water companies and their contractors are grappling with including: • Future Price Limits Methodology • Business Planning: Outcomes – Incentives - Penalties • Outcomes – what exactly does it mean in practice? • Customer Challenge Groups • The value of water • Catchment delivery projects – the lessons so far • Innovation: Sustainability – Partnership working to reduce price and Carbon • Scheme delivery
Who is this conference for? This conference is aimed at professionals whose interests are directly affected by the changes that currently driven from Government and the water regulator. It covers those that are directly involved with the regulatory process in planning, customers and economic terms as well as those with sectoral interests with the environment, water resources, water quality and surface water and drainage.
