Top scientists describe the badger cull as ‘mindless’
Owen Paterson, something of an expert on the badger cull having put over 600 Parliamentary questions on this from the back benches, won’t have had his Monday morning improved by reading a letter signed by 30 leading scientists including two past presidents of the Royal Society. To quote from the Observer article: “Another signatory, Lord Robert May, a former Government chief scientist and president of the Royal Society said “It is very clear to me that government’s policy does not make sense.” He added “I have no sympathy with the decision. They are transmuting evidence based policy into policy based evidence.”
