ENVIRONMENT PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR (Scottish Operations)

Last date for application: Fri 23 Mar 2012
Scottish Sea Farms Ltd

Scottish Sea Farms wish to recruit a skilled and adaptable person to strengthen our environment team and help us meet our commitment to sustainable aquaculture development.

Working closely with, and directly supporting the Environment Manager, the post will be critical to the success of the company’s ongoing development programme.

Educated to degree level in a scientific or environmental discipline, candidates are expected to be familiar with the regulatory regimes affecting aquaculture and have experience in the Environmental Impact Assessment of aquaculture development including the compilation of Environmental Statements.

The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, but must also be capable of working without supervision and managing workload effectively. Experience in project management and the employment of contractors would be a major advantage. They will be practical and computer literate with excellent oral and written communication skills. Effective and professional liaison with all stakeholders and industry regulatory bodies is a key part of this role.

The post is likely to be based at South Shian, near Oban but may require short periods working at other company sites - a full clean driving licence is therefore essential. An industry-competitive salary and benefits package is offered and a relocation package may be available.
