We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join Dorset Wildlife Trust’s Living Seas Team. At a time when reliable marine environmental data is in high demand, this is an opportunity for you to make a real difference for marine conservation. You should have an understanding of marine and coastal biological survey and monitoring techniques and be familiar with identification of UK intertidal and shallow sublittoral species and habitats. Good knowledge of GIS and databases is essential (experience with Marine Recorder useful) plus understanding of data management and validation of biological records.
Experience of UK diving is an advantage and you will be expected to train as a Seasearch tutor. A proven ability to enthuse volunteers is required for coordination of surveys, including Seasearch diving and shore surveys.
