Reporting to the Fisheries Assessment Manager (FAM), the Project Officer will be assisting with implementing the MSC’s policies and procedures for the assessment of fisheries against the MSC’s Principles and Criteria for Sustainable Fishing (the MSC Standard). In particular the Project Officer is responsible for supporting the Fisheries team with delivery of some specific projects related to the MSC scheme.

The post holder will be required to:

  • be highly organised and accurate, paying special attention to detail;
  • analyse data using Microsoft Access and Excel;
  • communicate clearly with key colleagues and MSC stakeholders where needed;
  • produce clearly written reports and other outputs.
