Hydrographic Surveyors Required
EGS International Limited are looking for dynamic and motivated individuals to be part of a hard working and dedicated survey team, all levels of experience considered.
EGS provides clients with the full range of hydrographic services working on such projects as site investigations, pipeline inspections, cable route and landfall surveys, offshore wind farm surveys, dredge monitoring programmes, environmental monitoring, harbour and topographic surveys.
The successful applicants will be based at our office in Bordon, Hampshire and will be prepared to reside within commuting distance of the office. You will be working full-time on projects in the UK and worldwide. A relevant degree is essential, the role will involve survey planning, data acquisition, processing and reporting. Knowledge of Kongsberg multibeam systems and Caris HIPS and SIPS would be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidates will be given training in EGS survey procedures.
Candidates should demonstrate the following:
- an understanding of basic survey procedures and QC methods
- experience and/or interest in working in the coastal zone environment
- good interpersonal and communication skills
- strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and solve problems
- experience in the production of survey reports
- hold a full UK driving license
- eligibility to work in the UK
